MEET Ketma – CHI Community Health Worker

Ketma joined the CHI team as a Community Health Worker a few years ago. She is especially passionate about working with pregnant women and ensuring their health throughout their pregnancy and childbirth. Although she lives 30 minutes away from where clinics are held, she says she doesn’t mind traveling because she knows the importance of the work CHI does. Too often in areas without healthcare, women or their children die in labor from lack of education on childbirth. She enjoys knowing that she can help save lives with CHI.

Ketma says she loves watching patients get healthier, and hopes that she can continue working with CHI in the future. She hopes to see CHI open a clinic or hospital, which would create additional jobs and help the organization have an even greater impact.
